GENERAL DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS

 

Isolongifolenone is a natural product, which has a Radix Aucklandiae and amber incense. Therefore, derivatives of isolongifolenone have been widely used as fragrances in cosmetics, perfumers, space sprays, detergents, deodorants, fabrics, fibers, and soap, tobacco, creams, paper products. In addition, -isolongifolenone inhibits tyrosinase that is multifunctional copper-containing enzyme for melanin biosynthesis in plants and animals, also, hydrogenated –isolongifolenone has been used as a bridged core to prepare a chiral ligand for the estrogen receptor that could be useful in regulating fertility, preventing, and treating breast cancer, and for menopausal hormone replacement.

 

As the fixative of the Radix Aucklandiae and amber incense, widely using: cosmetics, soap, tobacco use, creams and other types of flavors are available. Isolongifolenone can be used as a constituent of fragrance mixtures or perfume oil for the perfuming of cosmetic or technical consumer goods.
